I’m an award-winning writer, researcher, consultant and proud Chicagoan with nearly 15 years of experience across PR, marketing, writing and communications consulting. By day I serve as communications manager for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM), the global architecture firm founded in Chicago in 1936. I’m also a board member for High Concept Labs, a Chicago-based arts service organization.
I spend the rest of my time writing, exploring and experimenting.
Previously, I led communications for World Business Chicago, the City of Chicago’s public-private economic development partner. Before that, I held several writing and marketing positions for PR agencies, consultancies and publishers in and around Chicago.
I have a master’s degree in communications and media from Northeastern Illinois University and bachelor’s degrees in writing and philosophy from North Park University. From 2011 to 2014, I was formerly the co-founder and publisher of Anobium, an independent literary publishing collective.
I like big ideas, bad movies, good pizza, old buildings, open spaces and loud music.
