Last year I created Neon Comment: Volume 001, the initial entry of my longer-duration creative experiment, where I’ve utilizing “dead document” and public domain exploration for image discovery reclamation in multiple contexts.
It’s one of my passion projects, which I curated, designed, and produced by under the “Anobium” moniker.
The object itself, Neon Comment: Volume 001 is a magazine-based product, collecting scores of images and designs from public domain documents, books, defunct trade journals, PC/gaming magazines, and other dead media, and converting select samples into vector image files for applications in screen printing, sign printing, stickers, pins, billboards, and other multimedia applications.
For this work, I’ve been awarded a 2024 Graphic Design USA Award and a 2024 International Design Award.
You can view the project in my portfolio here.
